a basic discipline encompassing the engineering applications of biology
and
biochemistry. The research and educational activities of the department
are directed towards the bioproduction of both chemicals and energy,
and the construction of applied biosystems developed from fundamental
principles of fields including biomolecular process analysis, biomolecular
mimetics, bioelectronics, biochemical engineering, genetic engineering,
and cytotechnology. |
